Working hard, or Hardly working? I would say hardly working...

                                

So day two, at my dad's office answering phones,  phone calls answered 2, makeup reviews read 43, makeup based youtube videos watched, at least five.   Luckily for me my dad has stepped out to golf the day away!  Which leaves me to look at makeup all day long on the office computer!! It would have been terrific if my dad left his credit card though, that would have been really nice of him.  But...........that didn't happen.  If I'm lucky, sometimes my dad manufactures racks for cosmetic companies, so I love to look at what products will be displayed.  Does he get to keep the samples?  No!  :( Anyhow, I usually don't like to bring makeup with me,  when I apply makeup in the morning, it usually lasts all day, but my never leave the house without this item would be--> lip gloss.  I'm obsessed with making sure my lips are always luscious and yummy!!!!  So lip gloss is a huge must for me.  I grabbed my hard candy glossaholic lip gloss (chill out), the description says that it is a relaxing lip gloss, and that is pretty accurate!  Its vanilla flavored but the scent isn't over powering, which some products can be.  It applies really well, the only thing I don't like about the gloss is that you literally have to layer it on to get glossy lips.  It has a little glitter to it but when applied, you can't really notice the glitter on your lips which I am kind of happy about, I have never really been a fan of glittery lips.  I'm not a fan of lip plumping gloss either, I have tried many brands, and it just leaves my lips feeling unnatural.  I do how ever have a variety of clear glosses that I love, so I listed them below.  I would say that my day here at the office has been quite productive, would my dad have a different opinion? I would say so lol.  Have a great afternoon......

Bh galaxy palette and brush review

So as I expected, the BH cosmetics galaxy palette it totally friggen awesome!! The shadows are very pigmented but with the lighter shadows I found that using a primer such as the nyx jumbo pencil in milk enhanced them!! There are so many looks you can create with this palette, blue or purple smokey eye, natural everyday look, hell if you feel like going into the office looking like a ballerina there are pretty shades for that to.  The shadows are very easy to blend, fall out will happen so just use shadow shields if needed.  I wanted to try out my brushes as well so with the look created below I used the shadow brushes.  They are very dense and yet soft, the brushes being so dense made it easier to control my shadow placement and blending.  The shadow blending brush is a a tad on the larger side but still manageable.  I posted swatches of this palette and a quick look I created with this palette.  I used meteor for the inner corners of my eyes, comet for my lids and Neptune for my outer corners. 

BH Cosmetics Delivery!!!!!

So last week I placed an order on the bh cosemtics website for the galaxy palette, in pictures this palette is beautiful and I have to admit I fell for the cute package it comes in as well! So while ordering my BH galaxy palette I noticed that BH brushes were on sale as well so of course I ordered a 15 piece set!!!! Well today I had volunteered my time at my dads office since his secretary was on vacation.  Once I arrived at the office I checked my email only to find a notice that my package had been delivered.  No one was home at my house so I knew the package must have been left at the front door outside! Yes that's right outside! Basically my precious package was up for grabs for anyone to just come along and take!! It took everything in me to contain myself and not give my dad an excuse as to why I had to leave, I mean I couldn't tell him my makeup is waiting for me, would a 62 year old man who has no idea the difference between lipstick and lip gloss really care that my package was outside, by its lonesome waiting for me? Would he let me leave and tell me its ok sweety you go home and take swatches of your new palette and make sure you post a selfie!!!!!! No he wouldn't! So I suffered through the day just imagining the unexplainable! Would a tween pass by house, notice that my package is from BH and steal it? Would a neighbor come along and decide to pick up the package and hold it for me, but by the time I get home they have left for their six week vacation and I would have to wait? Well I left the office, stopped for a donut (it Was worth the calories) picked my kids and hubby up and drove home, tada!! My BH package was there safe and sound!!!

I was anxious to try elf’s hd cream foundations.  I  read great reviews about them and considering I am a huge elf fan, I just had to try them.  Along with the hd foundations, I also ordered the elf primer as well as their corrective concealer palettes.  I applied the primer with the real techniques foundation brush and instantly fell in love with how silky and smooth the primer made by skin feel, as of now it is my favorite primer.  I then applied the HD foundation, which can be applied with a brush or even with a beauty blender.  The foundation goes on  smooth and is very creamy,  the overall coverage is great.  I would highly recommend setting it with a powder, HD powder is what I used and it just makes your skin flawless.   I loved working with their corrective concealer but found that applying with a concealer brush was not enough, I needed my finger to blend .  The concealer is very creamy and is great for covering those blemishes,  a little goes a long way. The picture is a before and an after strictly using elf face products and of course a little lip gloss.  All in all I am so pleased with elf. I didn’t even feel as if I had any makeup on my face and my skin was as smooth as ever, no shine at all!!!  I love the fact that elf products are of great quality yet are budget friendly.  They are always having sales so keep a look out and sign up for their newsletter at eyeslipsface.com

Let me introduce myself...

Hello readers!!!!!!! My name is Nalonie, I love makeup, and what do you do when you love something and you are passionate about something? You go ahead and make a career out of it!!! I am a makeup artist located in a town called Aurora, not to far from Toronto, just recently I started to face paint.  I love all types of makeup, anything from bridal makeup to spfx.  I can make a bride beautiful and enhance her features or I can turn a perfectly healthy human being into a zombie that looks like they just walked off a film set. Makeup is makeup , I love how it can change the way you look,  or how it can make you look as natural as possible lol.  I don’t have any amazing story of why I chose to be a makeup artist, I just have always loved makeup, and so I decided to take a makeup artistry course in Toronto.  Since my program ended I have realized that makeup is always a learning experience, there are so many techniques and tips for application to new trends,products and workshops.  I have such a passion for my career that I am literally up sometimes till 3am reading product reviews, shopping for new products to add to my kit, sometimes even watching tutorials. This blog will probably contribute to my makeup based late nights!!! But that is OK :) I will be posting product reviews, pictures of various looks,  even my favorite products, websites or locations to shop.  I hope everyone reading this will keep updated with my blog, and any feedback is appreciated.
